Here’s a super simple turmeric juice recipe, adapted from The Green Creator:

  • 2 lemons (peeled)
  • 2 carrots
  • 1 cup fresh pineapple (include the core!)
  • 1 inch fresh ginger
  • 1 inch fresh turmeric

So simple, so delicious and the perfect thing to sip on before meals and whenever you’re in need of a little pick-me-up. Both the ginger and turmeric are amazing for immunity and the bromelain enzyme in pineapple helps get your digestive juices flowing!

Watermelon Blast

What you need:

  • 1/2 watermelon
  • 1 lemon

  • Blackberry – 1 cup 144g
  • Kiwifruit – 1 fruit (2″ dia) 69g

Directions:

Process all ingredients in a juicer, shake or stir and serve.
Yields 16oz.

What you need:

  • 1 small Chiquita Banana
  • 1 Granny Smith Apple
  • 5 Mango Chunks
  • 1 handful of Pomegranate Seeds
  • 2 Full sized Carrots
  • 2 Handfuls of Spinach
  • 2 Celery Stalks
  • 1 Cucumber

If you can’t get a hold of pomegranate seeds they could be replaced with raspberries as they offer a close similarity.

Directions:

Need a healthy drink? Try this mango aloe juice for its amazing health benefits/good taste! As well as being as easy as ABC to make. This recipe is rich in vitamins A, B and C, along with potassium, calcium, magnesium, antioxidants and dietary fibre.

What you need:

  • 1 ripe mango
  • ½ pear
  • ½ cucumber
  • 1-2 cups spinach
  • 1-1 ½ inches aloe pulp (remember to remove the green skin!)

Directions:

Juice all but the aloe, pour into a blender with peeled aloe, blend. Pour over ice and dilute with water to taste, enjoy. If you are feeling like a green smoothie instead, add a banana and/or avocado, some ice, and blend all. Enjoy!

If you think that all fruits have high fructose content, thing again. The fruits included in this recipe have low fructose content.

  • Pink grapefruit – 1.2 grams / 100 grams
  • Lime – n/a (in other words very low)
  • Pure unsweetened cranberry juice – (9 grams of sugar per 8 ounce cup)

What you need:

  • 2 grapefruits (make sure that it is the pink variety, white ones are a no-no in this recipe)
  • 1 lime
  • 1 cup pure cranberry (for the best results)
  • 2” chunk of ginger (optional)
  • 1 medium cucumber (optional – to dilute and increase yield)

Directions:

Juice the grapefruit and lime in a citrus juicer. Run the small chunk of ginger in a juicer, you can include half a cucumber to dilute this drink further if it is too bitter for you. You can also add a fruit in there like apple for a little sweetness.

You’ll need:

  • ½ cup of fresh cranberries
  • 4-6 large carrots
  • 2 apples
  • optional: ½ cup water

Directions:

Core the apples. Juice the carrots, apples and cranberries. Drink immediately.

It is recommended that fruit juice be kept to a minimum of 1 glass a day due to sugar content. Don’t let this hold you back though, they are full of goodness just like vegetables, and tend to have a higher dose of those all important keep-me-young antioxidants.
